I know, it’s like you’ve just been transported back to the 90’s.
…get Phat, she must be a total weirdo.
Anyways, addiction is rapidly occurring in the modern world and medical treatments of rehab clinics are not getting the success rates people had hoped, this is why more people are turning the traditional and indigenous treatments.
Naturally, ibogaine (from the iboga plant) helps you cure from addiction. But one of the most important things to consider while you are in an ibogaine treatment program in addition to addiction cure is detox through food.
I’ve said it before and here it is again…food detox goes hand in hand with iboga therapy.
Getting nutritionally balanced assists you in getting the greatest effectiveness from ibogaine. Patients often forget about food detox after their program with us. That’s why I’m making such a big deal about it.
There are ibogaine therapy staff in the centers who are knowledgeable and able to give advise on what food should be eaten during and after your ibogaine rehab session so listen to them! In our ibogaine facility, the staff will recommend to you fresh, whole foods and a lot of raw vegetables. Having a balanced meal plan with organic food is a big foundation for healing during the iboga treatment program.
Seriously, as you probably know most people struggling with heroin, cocaine, opiate or other kinds of drug addiction are super thin and if they’re aren’t, they’re for sure not getting the correct nutrition. Their nutritional balance is already affected by the addictions to toxic substances, which cause side effects in their life.
So this ibogaine treatment program series of articles is going to be all about getting you healthy. If you’re planing to take ibogaine, the more “work” (also known as preparation) you can do ahead of time, by feeding yourself right, the easier your detox with ibogaine will be.
We’re going to start with my favorite salad recipes. Something nearly everyone, especially who are addicts, don’t eat enough of. Very few people can honestly say they eat enough vegetables-I’m not talking potatoes and corn here, those don’t count.
You’ll soon find I have a hard on for kale. Lots of people say, ew, I don’t like that, it’s too hard to chew. The key is to take it off the stem.
This is a great way to get a variety of veggies detox in. Easy to make large portions of for the entire week.
4 large leaves Kale
Chop all greens, cucumber and tomato. Mince garlic and sliver onions and sweet pepper. Combine all veggies and nuts then toss with olive oil. Add garlic, salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, then toss again. This will make a large salad. Would be perfect for 4-6 people for dinner.
If you want to make ahead to store and eat for a few days, keep greens and other veggies separate in the fridge. Grab equal parts of each for a small salad, then toss with olive oil and add salt pepper and nutritional yeast. Don’t just toss the salad and stick in the fridge and expect to be able to eat it the next day. The salad will be slimy and gross.
Make chicken thighs to go with this and you’ve got a super healthy dinner. Then you can have the leftovers for lunch.
A hearty standby that I never get tired of, perfect for a fast meal.
Wash, dry and roughly chop the kale. Dress evenly with oil. Mince garlic, then add to kale with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
So remember, your ibogaine experience is going to be a lot smoother if you can manage to get some good nutrition in you before you come. Health and wellness are the two most important results when you come out of ibogaine detox therapy and food is a key factor in that. Do what you can, I know this might be asking a lot. I can tell you thought that the effort will be worth it.
