Lately Mark and I have been asking ourselves how to make our ibogaine treatment center even better. The results people are seeing are remarkable, but we’re the kind of people that achieve recovery success and then ask, can we do better? What else can we do about iboga therapy program?
Just like any other ibogaine treatment center, we are still looking for advanced and effective modalities that will essentially help our clients achieve the long term recovery and wellness and get rid off drug and substance addiction. And the answers to those questions have lead us in the direction of Ayurveda.
It’s defines as “the science of life” in the hindu tradition. It’s a way of living, eating and performing self care (to oversimplify it). Ayurveda is a beautiful and effective way of life which developed thousands of years ago. You could actually call it a system of medicine and wellness. Yet, the medicine is food or herb based but is fully capable of treating all variety of illness in the body and the mind.
So how does this relate to an ibogaine treatment center? Well, we’re still trying to discover how to directly implement ayurvedic treatment and therapy, but indirectly it’s very relevant. Ayurveda philosophies, concepts, recipes and ways of life are holistic by design and support the whole being. Because of this, I believe it’s one of the most powerful modalities or tools out there for all around health.
Yoga is basically the sister science to ayurveda. Yoga and ayurveda came from the same people, the same place at the same time. So it’s an obvious fit for me. It’s not only obvious, but I’ve personally (and so has Mark) received massive therapeutic benefits from ayurvedic treatments and from adopting and trying out the programs and principles for ourselves.
So it’s possible that sometime in the future The Sunrise Center will soon offer proper ayurvedic treatments and therapy programs to you when you come to visit, just not yet.
